So were are driving on the freeway going home with pizza and the SUV slightly ahead of us in the lane to our right, drifts right into the front of our '91 Chevy utility truck.It swivels to the left, like it was in a pit maneuver, it hits all sides of the front of our truck before colliding into the freeway divider wall to our left. Not our fault.

They have USAA. We start a claim after getting two estimates (one costing us $26!). Luckily one of the claims was with a shop in their trusted circle so we are all set to get it towed to the shop but then the shop wont take our vehicle because they claim USAA hasnt paid them yet. I call USAA, who claims they havent gotten the shops uploaded estimate yet.

On the second phone call to USAA they say that our trucks blue book value isnt even half as much as the estimate is and they are not going to pay for it to get repaired. If they do pay us what ever amount they come up with (under Kelly's Blue Book amount of $1600) they will be changing our title to a salvaged vehicle title making it impossible to sell. How can they do that? Their client caused $5000 worth of damage to our work vehicle.

It should not matter what the vehicle is worth (priceless to us-it saved our lives and gets us to work and keeps all our tools safe and convenient on the job) we did nothing wrong! They should pay for the damage they caused! This makes no sense in my head! I can only imagine what kind of *** they're going to pull with my medical claim.

Can they do that? Make our beloved truck turn to a cheap pile of rubbish? It still runs they just have to replace the hood, fenders, bumper, grill and a tire. How can they change our title?

it sickens me to think how these greedy insurance companies get away with taking our money every month and jipping us when we need them.

They are not doing what we pay them to do, how do they get away with it?

If the damages exceed the value or come within approximately 75% of the value, you'll only be entitled to the actual cash value.
