USAA - Worst Firm in the industry

The "new" USAA has slick commercials and lavish perquisites for the execs at the expense of members. What was once a great mutual is now acting like a for profit. Wells Fargo are saints compared to these guys. After more than 25 years I have closed and/or transferred my banking, insurance, retirement and credit to alternate providers.

Canceling insurance can be a big deal based on state regulations. Depends on the state and the lien holder.

No what you want is your way and not customer service. As for what you think people owe, kinda selfish of you.

No one owes you anything. Sorry but that self entitled attitude is something you wear very poorly. How about what YOU OWE? Per usual you a veteran expect that a job that you did volunteer for is going to get you some form of special treatment.

Be it people fawning over you all the way up to demanding you are given special discounts in retail stores above those that actually deserve it more then you. Where is the police/firefighter/EMT discount? Or the heart surgeon/brain surgeon discount? You must admit that those jobs have saved far more lives then you and continue to do so.

We do not see those people who work those jobs DEMANDING special treatment. Just saying YOU demand special treatment and point out what YOU think people owe. Yet YOU are the one who will be living off the backs of the same people you demand respect from as it’s the taxes they pay that is going to keep a roof over your head and food in your stomach. One *** of a double standard there buddy.

Make no mistake you get what you give.

If you want respect in any of its forms you have to give it as well. Not just rest on your past glories and deeds.

I'm still waiting for an apology from USAA for the rude AAI customer service and the appraiser intentionally totalling my truck and lying about it having a bent frame in order to get it above the market value of 10-12 thousand dollars (not book value).

USAA in Phoenix, Arizona - Terrible customer Service!

Just applied for Medicare Supplemental ins. and got accepted. USAA sent letter informing me of my acceptance and indicated they were going to draft two premium payments from my checking in Jan. 2018.??? Tried calling this am and was on hold for 25 minutes, finally was told they were very busy during this time period. I asked if I could leave my number and have someone call me back. He said no, call back at 6:pm when it is not busy. Called at 6:pm , sorry this is outside of business hours , please call back at another time. This person who told me to call back was just trying to get me off the phone. So I went to usaa website and tried to send them an email concerning my double payments and there is no way to send them an email just the tele# that I called previously. I have a Checking, savings and investment account with them and I am getting ready to close all accounts and go back to a real bank. This is not the first time I have had problems with them - website sucks, many system problems, hard to get a hold of anybody without getting passed around to several depts. before you can get any help. Terrible Company!!!!

USAA in Colorado Springs, Colorado - Left after 15 years

Constant bad customer service, increase in insurance rates and holds on payroll checks that must be deposited via mobile device. Their solution, cash the check at the institution who issued the checks, then drive 50 miles to deposit the cash in Colorado Springs.... How about this, I stopped all funds going to USAA and opened an account at a local credit union...... Many problems solved by leaving them..... Good riddance USAA

The point this person is making is that a lot of us old time members felt like the best thing USAA had going to for it was the flexibility and customer first attitude. In a drive to increase profits, these characteristics have been lost.

Most of us knew that we weren't getting the best rates on products but we were ok with that since the customer service was top notch. Now that the customer service isn't what is used to be, they've lost the value proposition to companies offering more competitive rates.

The people you speak with are not USSA employees. They are employed by a company called Teletech, which is a call center USAA has a contract with.

Teletech will hire anyone that applies even if they are less than intelligent. USAA doesn't seem to care or want to fix the problems and the Teletech Call Centers keep hiring shady people and they don't train them. USAA Members will continue to pay the price. The turn over at Teletech call centers is over 80 percent and the working conditions are rough.

I hope that might give you a little clarity about who you're really talking to.

The caliber of people employed by a company makes the company fail or succeed. If USAA doesn't get out of Teletech they many end up failing too.
