USAA - No longer the company it used to be

I have phoned USAA about the same problem over ten times and get transferred from one representative to a different representative having to repeat the problem over and over. Each call requires giving all my ID requirements waiting for next available representative and then being disconnected. So I have sent email explaining my problem-received an email to call Rudoulfo Gonzales= I have called him 3 times and left messages but no one calls back. I have been a member for over 40 years

USAA - Circular logic denial

Was supposed to be called yesterday afternoon at an alternate landline by a fraud supervisor, per Richard to explain why I cannot be transferred to the security dept extension who are able to ask me personal questions for ID verification. 6/14/2020 00:36 after 20 min hold. Called and security dept Trent was unable/unwilling to ask alternate questions for ID as I have in the past, even with COVID19 in progress.

USAA - Banking SUCKS - they don't honor stop payments

While I've had good experiences with the insurance part of USAA, the banking has been really bad. Their customer service is truly horrific at times. Today is another time when I called perfectly calm needing help and here I am 1.5H into calls and on my third rep trying to get an unauthorized charge reversed and my anger is through the roof! It was a company I'd placed a stop payment against after they kept putting payments through even though they were included in my Chapter 13 bankruptcy. They have misunderstood and, at times, lied to me throughout these calls. They truly don't care about their banking customers and do very little to help even when THEY caused part of the problem by allowing a debit charge even though a stop payment order was already in place.

User's recommendation: Just don't. Try to find a credit union or a local bank.

Chapter 13 is one of the many instances when a person needs to change to a different bank, not just a new account.

USAA - IRA funds

USAA seems to think that it is THEIR money when you place an IRA with them. Their customer "service" people are officious, ignorant...Even before CO-VID, their hold times were ridiculous. . They are now selling their business to Charles Schwab. Go figure.

USAA - Got ripped off $1,000.00 from bank CEO

I mailed in a money order deposit of $1,000.00 for my checking account deposit. Got a call today stating $1,000.00 was not in my account. And, they are keeping it for being in the negative for a short time in which I fixed immediately with mailing in my $1,000.00 into the bank with certified mail and signature required and was done.

USAA - Get an account at a local bank

So on 2/16/20 I get a text msg from USAA telling me the account is locked. Called at 1330 and got it unlocked.

They claimed the reason was because I used a different phone to call in my complaint about the deposit on 2/14. Later in the day at 2130 I go to sign in, and again same thing, locked out. Called back. This time the excuse was they don't know, somebody in Fraud locked it.

I explained I already called and dealt with that earlier. Nothing the Supervisor could do except send off a complaint to someone, somewhere. Too late to deal with Fraud they are gone home, how convenient.

So now no access to account, no deposit, a paycheck I cannot do anything with. Thankfully I had cash enough to deal with bills and such.

Mobile deposit has become hit or miss. Sometimes it goes right through other times it is a 7 day hold. And on occasion they send it back and say the Money order or Check was no good. Oddly a real brick and mortar bank had no issue with either. Good luck getting a reason. If they send you something pay close attention. They sent me a reason that stated I put the wrong amount, yet they matched, even had screen shot and print out. Still nobody cared. Call to cancel my insurance, they didn't care about why just gave me information about cancelling. 15 Years ago a very different experience. Last 3 months a disaster.

I am an 18 year member of this bank. Recently, my bank accounts were hit by fraud. USAA initially stated all money would be returned and they needed 48-hours to investigate. 48-hours later, they state they REALLY meany 72- hours and they will be done soon. 72-hours later, they need another three days. All the while, all my accounts are locked, my bills are going unpaid and I cant even pull money for gas. The untrained and devastatingly incompetent customer service team has found amusement in my circumstance and end up tranferring me at average, five times a call. Even worse, they created a overdraft amount circling $20,000 but cant stop mybpaycheck from being debitted against thay amount. Oh. And they are charging me oversraft fees. This is by far, the worst experience I have ever had with a bank. I am the victim, and they will not do a thing about it.

I opened a checking account online and did the whole uploading my ID for verificarion and funding of my checking and savings accounts back in June. To this day, 4 months later, I STILL have not been able to use the debit card i was issued, or even make online purchases. Ive called numerous times, and each time im told They're waiting on me to upload my drivers license to verify. IVE ALREADY DONE THIS. I was trying to get a loan to get my bills together. The company e-loan wrote $200.00 on my account and I browsed $75.00 a dollar from the company called Dave so I can eat.they took the money and froze the account on me. I am disabled were I need eat to stay off a machine that cleans the blood. I did know the company spams me. so know I am going to starve this month.

USAA - We'll take your pay check.

I recently switched to USAA, decided to take advantage of my veteran's benefits. When I went to switch my direct deposit I was told I would be issued a paper check for the first month. Stupid I know but it is my employers policy. I used the mobile deposit on pay day. I was expecting some fund to be with held, like arpund 50-60%. No the bank witheld 95% of my paycheck. I called to see if I could get the amount changed so I could pay some bills. I was told no, and they wouldn't make an exception for me until I was a customer for six months. Makes you feel real good that a company will not help you out of a mess they created.

They hold your paycheck to see if the funds clear. Since you’re new that’s probably why they with held most of it.

I usually get half when I do checks but I’ve had my account for 7 years.

They usually don’t release or move up the date either. Anything over 500 they hold usually.
