After paying premiums for years, the first time I have a minor accident ($1800 damage), the company referred a 'negotiator' to my claim and sent me a check for $700 after saying they'd waive my deductible.Their claims reps are rude, unresponsive and not at all customer oriented. They have USAA. We start a claim after getting two estimates (one costing us $26!). Luckily one of the claims was with a shop in their trusted circle so we are all set to get it towed to the shop but then the shop wont take our vehicle because they claim USAA hasnt paid them yet. Fortunately I am not a policy holder with USAA, however unfortunately my parked vehicle was hit by a USAA member 1 week ago. Each call to 210-531-8722 gives you a different rep. The original adjuster I spoke with last Thursday, has not returned my call, though I have left her several messages. I'm still waiting on a manager to call per my request 3 days ago. We have USAA for our home and 4 vehicles. My neighbor also has USAA policy. USAA used our homeowners policy for our property damage with a $500 deductible. My parked vehicle was hit and totaled by a drunk USAA member on July 27, at approx 1:05 AM. Once my car was deemed a total loss, the adjuster offered me basically pennies for my car. I held USAA to a higher standard then State Farm or Allstate but I was sooooo wrong! Without telling me they dropped my claim and said I had to track down, call and fight the other insurance company myself instead of USAA handling the claim for me. I've never heard of such a thing. My car was totalled by one of their insureds,he got the ticket for running a red light. Its been a week and i haven't heard from this company. My insurance co is having to pay for everything.
