Well, I was wrong! After my friends at the garage pulled all the damaged stuff out of the way, the metal plate part at the front corner of the passenger side frame, the part that the bumper and other parts attach to is bent.

But not the "frame" (rail) itself. An expert is going to look at it and if that extended part of the frame can be straightened, it might be recoverable. If not, I'll be parting the truck out and keeping certain improvements recently made to put into a replacement of approximately the same year and engine type.

Have talked with the Claims rep since then and things seem to be cordial again.

I have been dealing with these people myself. I am not a USAA member but I am the victim of a USAA insured driver who rear ended me in Feb 2016.

I was injured as a result and had some medical bills rack up in the amount of $5906.30. USAA accepted responsibility of all repairs to my vehicle and medical bills. After repeated failed attempts to contact the adjuster assigned to my claim for months after the wreck, I was able to make contact with another adjuster when the original adjuster was out of the office for a week. That adjuster and I came to an agreement to issue me a check for the amount of $6906.30.

She emailed me the Release Of All Claims contract, which I signed and faxed back that same day. About a week later, I received a check in the amount of $1000. I called the USAA number and by this time the original adjuster was back in the office. She told me that I wasn't getting the amount I had agreed to and that I was misinterpreting the Release Of All Claims agreement.

I had an attorney friend of mine take a look at the agreement and was told that USAA was in breach of contract and acting in bad faith. I went back and forth with these USAA crooks for weeks being lied to by the adjuster and management telling me one minute that they were sending me my money and then the next minute telling me I wasn't getting another dime and to contact an attorney if i wanted to. So, I contacted the BBB and Illinois Department Of Insurance instead. Both were fast to take my issue with USAA seriously.

The BBB contacted them right away and I was contacted by an advocate from USAA the day after making my complaint to the BBB. She informed me that their legal department was reviewing my claim. After a few days, the advocate called me back and told me that they issued me a check for the remainder of what was owed. These people are liars and thieves.

If I wouldn't have pursued then as aggressively as I did, they would have gotten away with not paying me. So, don't sit back and let this big company rob you!

Sounds like you tried to bill insurance for normal wear and tear. Why would you be surprised when they objected? The rest of us are supposed to pay for your wear and tear?

I filed a claim against one of their insured. The insured gave me the wrong name, walked away from the accident and lied to USAA about how the accident occurred. The damage to my vehicle clearly indicated their insured had lied. The claim agents accused me of not being the driver and then proceed to talk in circles, not answer the questions, would not help me, insisted the driver did not make a statement and then listed me as liable. USAA agents refused to work with me. I had no collision and lost 2500 in damages. I left numerous messages to counter the accusations only to be met with the same behavior. Their insistence they had no driver report. Buce Mercado was the driver. Great lie............I will pursue this.

USAA - Terrible Service

I have been a customer of USAA for over 40 years - yes, FORTY years. We finally had to file a claim when someone crashed into our parked car. They did NOTHING. I had to make three calls to get one return call back & the net result was that they weren't going to assist us because we didn't have collision coverage on that car. What a waste of time! I even asked that question upfront when I first called them: if we have no collision should I even bother to file a claim. Of course they wanted us to file a claim so they could see if there was some way they could raise our rates. And then the claims adjuster had the nerve to tell me - TWICE - how USAA is here to help! I told him that they were of no help whatsoever. Then he says since this was not our fault it wouldn't affect our rates. I incredulously told him "I should hope not!" Run, don't walk away from the poor service of this company. My New Year's Resolution: make sure I am not a 41 year customer of USAA.

Wrong. This mistake was on you for not verifying that the bank account was correct.

Computers control these days, and are not going to make a mistake. A person has to be in charge of correcting the computer, in advance.

Funny I was hit by one of their insured (back into my car, and she was on the phone) now want me to be responsible for the incident, because I suppose to know she'll be backing up at 10+ MPH and I was standing still right behind her vehicle (When she backing out space)

BEAWARE. This is how usaa treats its auto policy holders I recently filed a claim for damage that occured at a local car wash this was an automated car wash which means you are not in the car at that time , usaa told me that was considered Collison not comprehensive I asked them to show me in my policy where that is stated what they quoted to me made my point not theirs In addition I was not even in the car at the time and still insisted that I must pay the deductible. one of their members rear ended my daughter could not get their estimate on our damage they said I had to have. for my shop to repair it took multiply phone calls and a complaint to BBB to get it. then when I tried to get diminished value was told car was high mileage less than 10,000 mile a year so they did not have to pay anything it is 14 years old but only 136000 miles , but about $8,000-$10,000 in customization work done to the car All the time they keep reminding me they would sue me !!! would never buy anything from them And I am exMilitary their so called target group
