USAA - Totally ripped off
my truck a 96 ram had the gas tank drilled so the gas theif could fill his container and let the rest pour on the ground.filing a claim was a big deal i had a 500 deductable and had thought anout gettong a tank to do it myself the cheapest one i could find was 700 bucks so i filed a claim knowing the tank was 1400 at dealership so i figured i was paying a third of that it would be a typical claim.they towed my truck to a facility that was mot my choice on a monday the on wed the adjuster notified me they were mot payi g for a 1700 tank and that she found 1 but the dealership would mot install old parts so after a diostic $169 was done why i do t know my truck was towed to anither dealership of her choosing the estimate was sent to me .i was trying mot to use my insurance but could not afford the cost so to say i was upset when i seen i was paying $500 and usaa cost was $36 and thats taking into consideration i lost $70 in gas amd usaa was chargi g me for 20 in gas.now i had *** in my tank so i am still mot clear why i was charged this.on top of everything i was paying for a 120 gas tank that i could of put in myself .the adjuster would not get the new tank but is willing to pay $250 for labor to put the tank in.on top of that they stated 3 days for truck to be fixed its now 8 days and counting.the last thi g the adjuster told my wife if th ou s happens again i should do the wirk myself xause it was a eay job. treated loke a idiot.why would i use my insurance fir a claim where i pay 500 and usaa pays 36 lets see maybe i am a idiot for having a insurance company that has so little compassion that tbey do this to there customers or tvat shows any common sense
