USAA Mortgage

Calling to get any clarity on your escrow account after a house closing is a total joke. The system the employees can see differs from the mailed paper statements you will receive after closing, so trying to match up dollar amounts with an employee over the phone will be impossible. I called to figure out if we received the correct refund of our escrow. Based on a paper statement they sent me, it appears we are still owed some money. The employees have promised to email statements/payment history/etc that they have special access to through some mysterious portal that takes 72 hours to generate a report (is this 2016 or what?!) so I can see the walk down of payments and deposits to verify the amount, but the emails NEVER arrive. Now that I have called three times and not received the requested materials, I am about to give up (it's no longer worth my time) and have resolved to NEVER get a mortgage through USAA again.

Unfortunately this is part of the process. I had to make mortgage payments via phone calls because loan access via website was prevented during bankruptcy proceedings. Access was reopened after court case closed.

USAA review in Dallas, Texas: Homeowner's insurance dropped

About a year after moving into our house USAA dropped our coverage saying that the house was in a fire hazard area. Got no explanation of why exactly. We do live in the CA foothills but have plenty of defensible space. Farmers insurance saw no problem and covered us. Aren't many homes throughout the US in fire, tornado, flood, etc areas. I have been with USAA since 1989 and was extremely happy then, but over the years I have noticed that, like the military, their care for us has plummeted. Also my auto rates have sky-rocketed (and never a claim). Maybe the generals/ executives should be less proud of the $122 billion in assets and more about how the members are treated.

They kept losing emails. They would not return calls. The VA told them they backed the loan for the home and USAA still would not release the loan papers. the people that work in mortgage were horrible until we had the Manager working the case. Then it still took longer, but We made it to closing. We talked with USAA two days prior t closing about our escrow holdback. They told us we were all set. We were suppose to get 5k back at closing and then 10k within 30 days to pay the contractor to repair items agreed upon prior to closing. Well at closing they took the 5k and put it towards the house instead of cutting me a check for my money to be returned. then I had to pay more out of pocket at closing due to the fees changing. Yes I said changing. it is easier to go to Wells Fargo and I would have had less trouble and would have closed earlier.

I did so much of the work for the Mortgage department, such as getting in touch with the VA and have the VA fix paperwork etc..

I would not recommend this company to anyone for a home mortgage. there is just so much i could go on and on but I just got in from work.

USAA Customer Service is horrible

Filing a claim against USAA auto insurance requires lots of patience. Like weeks of patience. It took about 3 weeks for them to even look at my car. After that they fought about paying for a rental. After having the rental for some time I got a call when I was out of town and USAA said they had paid enough on the rental and there were going to stop paying for it. Of course I had to spend the next hour on the phone going in circles talking to several people to try and get them to pay for the rental. Just a bunch of jerks. I know my insurance company has way better service. Stay away!

To someone who knows better. For someone who knows better, or claims too, you sure don't know anything!!

If any of this were the case I wouldn't have a complaint now would I!! You should use your brain and think before you jump in shark infested waters. And for the record I don't talk smack over the internet. If you have nothing useful or positive to say about individuals and their situations please don't comment!!USAA has done alot of us veterans and military personal wrong.

And if they feel like I do then someone who knows better you should know bwtter than to come at a pissed off marine with that!! Hope you love reading this!!

Cannot connect to any of my finanacial accounts. Went through 9 different people & 7 departments & still cannot get to any of my accounts. Telephone promps do not address problem soving only selling business. No personal help that solved a *** thing. Can never talk to a human being. New MY LIFE service is a joke. USAA doesn"t give a dam about you unless you are buying something. You cannot even go to the main building and get a human being in person. They send you to a small room with a monitor screen & telephone. They are great in getting your money but then no service afterward

You can sit there listening to an automated recording all day if you choose to or at anytime you can ask for a rep. I would recommend you Try the mobile apps ,but something tells my you aren't very Tech savvy . USAA IS THE BEST at all they do, just like the Military they support.
