Why the USAA is advertising with the NFL

The disrespect shown by the NFL towards our military and country clearly is not the values shown by me a 50 plus year member ...WHY are the marketing folks in USAA turning a blind eye to this.....in addition I have tried to voice my concern to no avail ...

Member unable to log into his own auto insurance account

Details
USAA is losing an insurance customer because he has been in our dealership for 3 yes three hours trying to get into his own auto insurance account to do a change of vehicle. We all understand privacy and security but this is ridiculous for an older client who served our country in Vietnam.

Denial of roof damage

Details
Our community in Melbourne, Florida was hit by hailstorm in April 2019. 44 out of 49 homes were paid by their insurance company to repair the roof. My claim with USAA has been denied 3 times. They always find ways to avoid from helping me. I have been a faithful USAA member since 1978 and I have paid them religiously for all my car, life and home insurance. Not good company after all.

Many are right there with you Usaa use to care they no longer did. Don’t give up keep fighting.

If you have Facebook go to Usaa and how they scam people. Many people there also going through legitimate claims not being paid.

USAA has moved their mutual funds to Victory Capital. I recently attempted to get an answer regarding the value of one of the funds. It took over eleven minutes to navigate the phone system and get the answer which was "I don't know". Shortly after assuming control of the funds Victory made the decision to rebalance the holdings resulting in large tax liabilities for the holders and failed to provide any advice or warning. Those capital gains have all subsequently disappeared.

User's recommendation: Leave Victory Capital.

Signed up with USAA in 2012, auto and home. My wife and I are very senior citizens. Neither of us has had an "at fault" accident nor received a ticket in 45 plus years. We haven't contributed to one nickle of expense to USAA. We have the same two vehicles we started with and own the same residence. Moreover, our mileage driven has dropped off to where the total for both vehicles is now less than 7500 a year. Regardless, our auto premium has increased progressively to where it is now more than 30 percent higher than when we started, and, apparently, the contributing driving offense is our aging. Neither my wife nor I has a "restricted" license, but neither this nor our driving record seems to matter to USAA. When I call to inquire, their representatives are very polite, thank me for my service, and inform me that our increase is due to some nebulous change in a policy provision or a statewide underwriter stipulated increase, neither of which is easily determined. I think it's simply USAA's version of "age discrimination".

Don’t use the 0% promotions!!!

Details
I used a 0% promotional check on my credit card account. You have to pay the balance before the end of the promotion (usually 12 months). However the way your payments are applied, your payment even if you pay additional money for your promotional balance gets applied to your higher interest rate balances first. The promotion ends and they then charge you the higher interest rate on the promotion balance. I called and tried to pay the entire promotion balance before the end of the promotion and that wouldn’t allow me to do so even though I had already made the minimum due on the higher interest balance. Their excuse was that it is the algorithms of their computer system which won’t allow you to pay any specific portion of your bill. The way payments are applied is included in your payment disclosure so legally they are covered. But offering 0% for 12 months when there is no way to pay that balance separately from the higher interest rate balance is deceptive. The only way to pay the promotional balance off is to first pay off the higher interest balance. My discover card offers these 0% promotions as well and I have used them as well, but I have never had this problem with any other credit card. I t feels like a scam to be offered 0% for a period of time then have no option where you can pay on time!!! I have been schooled & now hopefully other hard working veterans won’t be taken for their money on these no way to fulfill promotions. Shame on you USAA for taking advantage in such a tricky way!

I had a claim with you guys and was put in a rental which was at FIRST suppose to be from the day the reservation was made which was 10/11/2019 and I was given the drop off date of 10/18/2019 and was also told on a recorded line by one of your customer service reps that Sunday’s do not count in the rental when I was scheduled to go pick up the rental no cars were available anywhere so I had to wait a day late which was 10/12/2019 the exact day that I got into the rental so I dropped it off a day later which was 10/19/2019 exactly because again I was told on a recorded line that “Sunday’s don’t count” when I arrived to drop it off I was charged $26 for this misinformation I’ve been calling only to get a understanding in which none of your customer service reps were understanding that the same days that I was given were the exact same days that I kept just a day later because of the misinformation. I again called to try and explain the situation to another customer service rep by the name of Tamera and was told in a disrespectful way that I could NOT be transferred to anyone else to speak with. I would like to speak with someone else higher up because this service that I got was very unacceptable when all I was trying to do was get you guys to understand was my frustration in YOUR mishap.

Homeowners rates kept going up, so I was quoted by an outside agent same company at alot less and they dug for my discounts. I am now seeing the same thing with car insurance, veteran, prior first responder and a senior with no tickets, no accidents, may have to move thi also. Do your homework, get quotes every year.

I have watched my last commercial about how wonderful usaa is. We had savings & checking accounts with them. Because of their lax customer service we were ripped off for $1500. I got caught in a scam. I made a mobile deposit of the check I had been sent. I was then asked to wire a majority of the money to a person. I called usaa & asked if the check had cleared & if I could draw on it. I was told there was no problem & I was able to use the money. I wired the money to the scammer & then contacted by usaa that the check was not good & the money removed from my account. I contacted usaa several times concerning this & they said it was not their problem.

Wife has nearly 20k in medical bills with a future neurologist appointment and PT. USAA wanted to offer us 800 dollars for pain and suffering after initially failing to act in Good Faith. I gave them the rope and they hung themselves when they offered a pathetic settlement of 800 dollars. Really? I am a veteran that doesn’t support this treatment from other “veterans” especially from USAA, but they are like most other insurance company

A deer jumped across the road and damaged my hood and grill. I had read negative reviews about USAA totaling cars and paying only a portion of the replacement value so I called first and talked with a representative. The rep assured me that I could withdraw the claim at any time without consequence. I took the car in to their authorized shop and, of course they wanted to fix and repair everything, even things not involved in the accident. I received a call from USAA saying my car was a total loss along with an unfounded rationale about why they were only going to pay me 60% of the replacement value. I declined the settlement and told them I was withdrawing my claim and would repair the car at my personal expense. They told me they were going to send the state a notification that the car was salvaged even if I repaired it at my own expense. I fought with them and sent a estimate from another shop for considerably less. I heard nothing from them afterward. I had the car completely repaired and then I spontaneously got a notification that they wanted an independent estimator to see the car. He saw it the day it went to the paint shop. Despite write and phone requests no one has responded to my requests for information.

Hit and Run Total All Vehicles

All three of my vehicles total loss due to hit and run driver. USAA claims they cant do anything to help until they get police report to confirm which is against state and case law; furthermore, they offer zero medical assistance for injury until confirmation of police report saying driver has no insurance. IT IS A HIT AND RUN!!!! Customers of USAA should be priority first just as our Supreme Court has ruled. Apparently I am being pushed up to the Executive Escalation Department and there may be hope with Madalyn as she has concurred with this decision that was initially made negligently and then continued to be done in bad faith. I wasn’t getting returned calls, combative adjuster, grossly undervalued cost comparable analysis that I even had to help provide. USAA has a chance to make my situation right so I will be back to report!

They just offered a settlement that reassures Bad Faith. Looks like I may need an attorney since I have given them ample opportunity.

I will send a letter of Demand to USAA and then see what happens regarding my proposal of settlement. I pray they do what is right and we can avoid a tort or civil lawsuit that will cost them a LOT more in the long run

"Sticks and stones etc...." All of the blog information we post here is very meaningful, but achieves zero. We need to start filing BB complaints, or if anyone can suggest a better avenue, please do. We're gettting nowhere at this time.
