On Oct 7th my car was totalled and I was found at 0% fault by both companies. However usaa still attempted to charge me a 1000$ deductible when I called they removed it. Then after I accepted a settlement they tried to send me a different settlement in the mail with another 1000$ deductible attached to it once again. They have been nothing but useless and shady.

This is standard for all banks. Easy solution is to not spend it if you don't have it.

It's simple and you don't have to worry about pending transactions and other nonsense you whine about. If you have $100.00 in the bank, don't spend more than that hoping that a deposit will beat the debits. This is stupid at best to expect this to work. It's even more stupid when you continue to do this after getting burned the first time.

It's a shame they no longer teach basic home finance in schools these days. I'm sure you would benefit from such a course.

Well, I was wrong! After my friends at the garage pulled all the damaged stuff out of the way, the metal plate part at the front corner of the passenger side frame, the part that the bumper and other parts attach to is bent.

But not the "frame" (rail) itself. An expert is going to look at it and if that extended part of the frame can be straightened, it might be recoverable. If not, I'll be parting the truck out and keeping certain improvements recently made to put into a replacement of approximately the same year and engine type.

Have talked with the Claims rep since then and things seem to be cordial again.

this is almost same thing happened to me, rear ended and by another vet, we both got USAA. Anyway I am taking the person who hit me to small claims court, seeking 7,000 just like this guy, and I was rear ended by a van who hit my truck and bent my frame.

USAA tries to low ball you with figures that comes up several or 1000 dollars off the fair market value...

they use the words "cash value" like cash is cheap or something.

These people are horrid , those adjusters. and they are all pretenders and fakes.
