USAA Sucks because of CEO Stuart Parker

USAA Sucks because of CEO Stuart Parker

Ever since Stuart Parker took over as CEO of USAA, the company has turned to ***. No service, all greed.

They left me in the dust when I needed them most. This kind of stuff never happened under the direction of the last CEO. They used to be like a brother to me. Always there to help, and now they've turned into a greedy, technology-happy, corner-cutting piece of *** company.

This is especially awful due to the fact that their primary goal is supposed to be serving those who have served the country. Active duty, veterans, etc.

I'm a disabled combat veteran getting hardly anything from the VA and now I'm getting mistreated by USAA.

ah... I'm just getting started finding out more about USAA.

I'm a vet, have been with for decades... but at the moment they have made it impossible for me to pay of my small charge from them (blocked me for the website where I would pay, for one thing), and refuse to discuss with me (email me with no possible reply, give me phone numbers than never answer).

They have tacked many "fees" on me, place me for collection, and ruined my credit rating. Interesting to know why they went evil on us.

I am also unhappy with USAA.Have been a member since 1989.My father was a member-he was also an officer in the air force stationed at sac hdq offutt afb 12 years.Squdrant adjutant under General Curtis Lemay.Dad retired 1966 with 30 yrs active duty.I don't understand what happened to the previous professional ism of usaa.I am disappointed in them. Its a shame what they have become. They need to get their act together!

They admitted there was a fraudulent charge on our credit card in a European city - where we were charged twice at 2 different rates for 1 Iris Hotel room. After "Mat" at CEO Services admitted this and said he would look into it further, he called back a day later to say they would do nothing more.

So someone above him told him to do no more. In other words, we were responsible for both the legitimate and the fraudulent charge. We've now completely pulled our savings out of their bank, and are looking for new insurers.

We've been with them for over 40 years, so we aren't making this decision lightly. So sorry to see such a great company turn so bad.

We agree! My husband and I are both active duty and feel that USAA no longer has our back.

Agreed they have there back..to you..your just a number$$$ to them…terrible service and had I my fon stolen, and could not verify for months to take insurance off and claims. And they still were charging me for those.

Notes no cr e dit and items stolen or no longer. Fon verification is bad and hacking…I know personally…it was in the news and the “wired “ magazine…

Sorry to hear brother as a past USAA member, as adisabled older veteran. It’s all the banks agenda!

See the big banks CEO’s etc, resignations during ups and downs like 2008-9 crash and during Trumps presidency, others in the past. Most recently in the past year! And just follow the money. Every Business like Wally World!, Amazon, etc.

They resign(runaway) b4 with there wealth and guaranteed bonuses, when things like the economy change, lije before it crashes, corrects, stock market, “covid”, pandemics, war and so on excuses... all BS and history repeats itself! God bless brother and thank you for your service if it’s appropriate now?...Lita if documents, documentaries, books on this subject. Peace and blessings for you and all affected by this agenda.

Just don’t use them and buy from them?

Hard to do but be prepared like in the military?! Rob

Yep! they grab your premiums but refuses to even send you a copy of your insurance card.

Auto Insurance Debacle

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
USAA - Auto Insurance Debacle

Auto Insurance debacle and Ive been blocked from uploading documents and making changes to my account/policy when logged on? I cannot get anyone to respond?

I had made some changes to my policy to suit my budget and shortly after Im notified USAA changed it raising my rate by $35 a month? I called in and spoke to Andrew who couldnt explain why underwriting did this and then saw a message in my documents pertaining to the state I lived in but Im not a risk and then that message went missing? I went over my policy with Andrew to get in back down not to where I wanted it, then asked for him to mail my policy in which he stated he could not to ask someone else? I wrote to corporate, and have been basically ignored.

I spoke to a Taylor who also was of no help and condescending and she changed my policy again without consent. It was changed three times in one day 5-22-24 and again on 7-6-24 and again on 7-13-24. This is ludicrous as a member for 31 years this has never happened. I received a note from a Christine who said she is reviewing and will contact but thats what Taylor did and got me nowhere.

Corporate has dropped the ball. I need my account to be made right and accessible.

I called today to get car insurance. I'm buying a car.

My house is in Church. You guys didn't treat me very well today. She wanted more information on my other vehicle that isn't insured by you guys, and I thought it was none of her business. She told me it was every time I call you.

I get the run-around or hassle from this insurance company, USAA.

I thought I owned part of the company because it's supposed to be run by military people, but it's not. They don't care.

I spoke to three different agents when I was transferred to the second representative. I explained to her I didnt have any parents or grandparents or spouse that served in the military other than my son and other family members then she asked me what state I live in I said California.

She then stated I will transfer you to the next representative who can help you. You do qualify for an auto quote. Then I was told by the last representative that I wasnt very frustrating.

The representatives need to be trained thoroughly and understand who qualifies, and who doesnt.. thank you!

USAA Unfair Auto Accident Treatment of Blacks

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was recently involved in a car accident. I'm a USAA member, that was hit by another USAA Member.

A car swerved into my vehicle on the highway as my brother and I was driving home. We tapped bumpers twice (the initial hit was to my passenger front tire fender, and front center bumper) as the driver was trying to correct itself as if it was going to stop on the highway before the driver realized where we were to then drive to pull to the side of the highway. Clear night and there wasn't any rain or adverse driving conditions to warrant an accident. When we pulled over, the woman who hit me was slurring words and tried to brush off the incident as nothing.

I smelled alcohol on her breathe. As I walked around the car I noticed to driver passenger front tire damage, then the scrapes to my front bumper from the second tap. She had scratches to her center bumper and damage to rear driver tire fender area. She didn't want to call the police, but I had already dialed 911.

It took Dekalb County PD a whole week to produce a police report hilding up my medical teeatments from my attorneys. I filed claims for the accident with my insurance and the other driver a fellow USAA member. Lisa J from USAA called me. I told her I couldn't start pain treatments from my attornies until I got the police report.

My injuries were really strong headaches and tensed/tight upper sholders. Waiting on a police report I'm taking muscle relaxers and pain meds daily to get through the pain. Lisa J said USAA would give me $3500 to help me out. That was really thoughtful of USAA.

She never mentioned it was a settlement for bodily injuries. I wouldn't have taken it. I had two friends who we in accidents who weren't hurt at all USAA helped them out with almost $7000. Both of them are white.

I only want my car repaired, USAA didn't fully repair my entire front bumper only the damages to the front passenger side. Why was I offerer a low amount? Because I was Black? Lisa J said it was fair.

It doesn't feel fair. I hope I never have another accident. I feel Lisa J took advantage of my not knowing of process. Her manager Will isn't any better.

The dry remarks further fueled my frustrations. His lack of empathy or sympathy made me feel some kind of way about it all... This is my opinion of how USAA treated me.

I'm still a member per my family. I just wanted to share my experience.

Pros:

"She never mentioned it was a settlement for bodily injuries" Translation: I was too stupid to understand what was going on and jumped at the chance to get a check, any check. I didn't bother to read and/or understand what I was signing away for a little piece of change and now want to scream racism instead of blaming the fool in the mirror.

There, I fixed it for you..... Listen, son, this happens all of the time to low-intelligence people who only see a little bit of money and don't think beyond it until it's too late. You surely have seen all these ambulance-chasing commercials that warn you against this foolishness.

"Don't accept the small check. Call the offices of (insert regional ambulance chaser) and get the big money you deserve." Your stupidity (and the desire for the quick buck) cost you, not your skin color...

Oh no...Another "you must work for them" comment. This is common on this site and is used by low-yield losers who don't like responses that don't match a lame narrative and are meant to detract from a comment.

It's also a sign of someone with hurt feelings that could be from the OP or a lame living vicariously through someone else. This comment smells of a YT liberal who treats so-called POC as sacred puppies that only they can save.

This fool, probably raised by a Keisha with no man in the home to guide him did a check grab and probably thought he had something at the time. It was only later that someone let him know he played himself.

Fraudulent charge on checking account

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

After 32 years with USAA, I'm sorry to say, this is not the company it used to be.

I was duped by Expedia into paying $635 for a week at a Motel 6. They displayed the $305 a week price when I booked, even though they were actually Motel 6.

Nothing on the site said it was Expedia. When I arrived at the hotel, I saw on my account I was charged $635.

I never received an itinerary number, without which, the Expedia phone system hangs up on you so that you can't cancel the reservation or even talk to anyone.

USAA denied my dispute because I didn't cancel the reservation, which I wasn't able to cancel or even talk to anyone without the number.

USAA said, for the most part, 'Sorry about your luck.'

Would anyone, with any sense, pay $635 for a week at a Motel 6? This was fraud and deceitful yet my bank would not back me up.

Roadside assistance left me stranded

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had a flat tire with a spare ready for repair. I waited for two different companies to provide roadside assistance, but 6.5 hours later, I still hadn't received any help.

I ended up paying a stranger $100 through USAA for help and ensuring I got home safely at 2:30 am. USAA will not refund me that money because it wasn't a company. My other option was to continue sitting alone as a woman at 2:30 am and wait even longer.

Despite paying monthly premiums to the insurance company, they provided no help for those 6.5 hours, and they can't even reimburse me the $100 – chump change to them. All I received was an, 'I'm sorry, that's horrible and scary you were alone, but we can't do anything for you.

Car insurance claim

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I ran over debris on a freeway, and took a few pictures to show my friends what happened to me on vacation. We made a claim with insurance 2000 miles away from home.

Nearly 2 weeks later, we finally get through to our insurance adjuster, and find out there has been no communication with the dealer that has our car regarding repairs.

In addition, the claims adjuster that filed the claim never even went to the dealer, and used my pictures for the claim. Therefore, a solid 70% of the damage wasn't put on the claim.

We most definitely voiced our displeasure in the situation.
