This information could only be retrieved through USAA. I applied for auto insurance and USAA had my personal information. Someone used that information to open an account. I had to file with Fraud, call my credit card company and purchase LifeLock all at my own...

The assumption in your first paragraph is not correct. USAA is one of the few banks that has NOT been hacked, and your address and Social are out there on the internet.

Nothing to do with USAA. Get credit freezes on all three credit bureaus.

USAA in Tampa, Florida - Horrible customer service experience, don't open an account

I wanted to find out why my funds were on hold and the first lady kept reading a script over and over without answering the question so I kept asking and she got upset and asked me if I wanted to speak to another customer service rep. The next one kept reading the exact same script. She basically told me I have the funds on hold because of my standing with USAA. I never had a negative experience so I asked for my standing and she said that would cost $10 to request and $15 to research. So basically they couldn't back up their lies. She was also extremely rude and couldn't answer my question as to why. I will be discontinuing my account at USAA

I left USAA as an employee because of the extreme PRESSURE to sell, sell, sell, because if you didn't sell something on every call, you sat at your mgr's desk every week to figure out how to bring up those avg's, because those that didn't got canned. When I started with USAA, it was because I was a mbr, and thought they had superior service, but the company focus changed to build the empire, build the bottom line, make it grow bigger, always bigger philosophy.

Nothing wrong with growth but how they did it became an issue, bring in untrained summer help, hire contractors, can anyone working p/t, kill the training program-have only modular training not classes. It use to be a place to get hired and leave with retirement, now reps burn out on avg in two yrs, because it is a highly STRESSFUL place to work. It use to be employee focused, that all changed too, and if you don't care for your employees, if you treat them horribly and make the environment equal to a sweatshop mentality, it transfers over to not caring for the mbrs.

So sad that a company that was built on service is now just $$$$ focused to the point where the mbrshp suffers. Greed over service.
