I added computer coverage insurance to my homeowner's policy. I had a small power surge in my home while using my computer, when I tried to power the computer back on the screen was white.

I filed a claim 11/2018. I was strongly encourage to take my computer to the nearest Apple store 1.5 hours from my home. Apple diagnosed a damaged logic board. I sent the repair estimate to USAA and they refused to cover the repair.

They cover theft, loss, drops and spills. So, I'm suffering because I did not lie and say the computer was dropped or because I made an effort to take care of the property that I insured. USAA continues to decline in coverage. I have been with them for over 20 years and I have watch them decline in customer service, coverage, etc.

I will be cancelling my computer coverage. Square Trade is always reliable for electronics.
