USAA - Complaints filed with insurance commissioner
Here goes another pissed consumer story to add to the complaint list. USAA commercials feature a lot of halo-polishing b.s., but their service falls w-a-y short of their promises.
They are just another business-as-usual company, one who has stooped so low as to line their pockets with the blood and sweat of our military heroes. I got T-boned in an intersection by as USAA insured driver, no dispute over fault, police report in hand that verifies these facts, so I expected the claims process to go somewhat smoothly 5 months later and still no resolution. No agent can be reached by phone without leaving a message, yet their recording says not to leave a message and it only goes into a general pool. They claimed they didnt get my emails, so everything now must go out in writing with signature required to keep them honest.
As a result I have filed several complaints with the insurance commissioner, and now intend to sue them in court just to get them to "make me whole" as is required by law After exhausting all reasonable recourse, I submitted a 21 day notice to sue their insured party for the cost of repairs ($6800). They did not even care enough about their client to respond. Received a return call the other day (wow, finally) but was hung up on after also not being able to get a single word in.
I am speechless at the terrible service!! One message is certainly clear : Friends dont let friends buy USAA insurance!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $6800.
Preferred solution: To be made whole and vehicle restored to the condition prior to the accident.

Sounds like another day at USAA ! True, their commercials are total bs.
You should sue them. It appears to be the only way they donโt transfer your issue to someone else lol!
Out of character for them. Must be more to this often repeated story.
