A few years ago i filed a home claim on my roof that allowed snow in and melted in my attic and ruined my inside ceiling. Not only did usaa deny the claim, they doubled both my home and auto insurance. Do not trust usaa to treat service members fairly.

USAA in Los Angeles, California - Shorted me out of $500 on personal property theft

USAA cheated me of about a $767 claim on a theft I had on my boat. Their conservative estimates cheated me about $500 in a claim. If I were searching for personal property insurance, I would shop elsewhere. Very dissatisfied.

USAA in Los Angeles, California - Terrible Service

I've been a highly profitable USAA member for decades (car insurance with no claims, credit card with lots of usage, checking, savings, CDs, college fund). They claim I made two identical payments on my credit card. Their technology is too antiquated to recognize a duplicate payment. So they took the money from checking which then required an overdraft from the same credit card. What a great way to charge me on interest on my own money! 45 minutes back and forth was a waste of time, with the "Executive Resolution" specialist telling me that I would only wind up paying them $30 of interest (on my money!) for the cash advance that I didn't need or want. I'm sick of the terrible service and taking my business for granted. So I will be moving about $200K of accounts to a local back as soon as I am able, cancelling my credit card and auto insurance, etc. How dumb. And I'm pretty sure these guys won some kind of service award? I guess standards are pretty low these days.

This person is only telling half of the story. I can personally attest that usaa doesn't send a notice of cancellation until you do not make two payments in a row.

They also send postal mail notices twice to let you know that they can help you out. How do I know this? My husbands company was lacking work for their drivers(he is a over the road cel truck driver) twice last year. During this time we were financially strapped on one lowered income and one full income, and we got behind on bills each time after a few months.

When this happened usaa offered an "extended payment plan". This plan allows your past due amount to be spread over the remaining payments on your policy. Also you tell usaa what you can afford down as the initial payment to start the plan. They will tell you how much more is required down if what you offer to pay initially is too low.

During the time that you are on this plan you must make each payment before the statement print date.

The statement and due dates are all on your online profile when you click on auto and property bill. Sorry for this response to be so long, but I don't like when people tell half of a story.

I was involved in a collision which usaa claimed responsibility for. My car was frame damaged as a result of this. I went to court and under Oath a little pencil necked mother *** named Tilden Smith Lied through his teeth to win the case. I don't really care about the Money. This isn't over yet. Tilden can you hear me? I didn't win but I am going to make sure it costs your company And you big time. You are the most dishonest pathetic little twerp I have ever Met. I will now make sure that somehow every consumer that has been Involved in an accident involving your company will file a diminished value report It will end up costing USAA millions and maybe they will realize not to *** over people.

I had water damage in my home caused by a leeking bathtub on the second floor. I called USAA to let them know what happened. They sent a water mitigation company immediately. USAA told me the name of the company (Extreme Clean)DKI. USAA offered me no choice of companies to clean up the mess. This was followed by a contractor of their (USAA) choice who I had to call, who then came to my home to bid on the repairs. I have a $3240 deductable, which is one half of one percent of my homes value. The total for the water midigation and the contractor bid was 17dollars under my deductable. For the price of the midigation, I could have bought a new blower and a new dehumidifier and completed the labor @ $150 per hour. The two companies told me that USAA set their prices. I'LL DO THE REPAIRS MYSELF!!!!
