Got ripped off $1,000.00 from bank CEO

I mailed in a money order deposit of $1,000.00 for my checking account deposit. Got a call today stating $1,000.00 was not in my account. And, they are keeping it for being in the negative for a short time in which I fixed immediately with mailing in my $1,000.00 into the bank with certified mail and signature required and was done.

A lady with USAA insurance rear ended me last month. Going thru the accident claim with USAA is a joke. Not surprised about the problems I am having with these people. This is military insurance. It is *** insurance run by the government. And we all know how the governement take care of military and veterans. Garbage!!!!

After four days I finally got through to the USAA Bank loan department. After three agents I was put on hold for forty minutes and finally gave up! I have been a member for over 50 years and the service has never been worse.You can't even ask a general question without going through their new security program. You now need a password, PIN and security number. I am disappointed in a company that no longer cares about its clients and foolishly makes it too hard to do business with. This is not the company I was proud to be a member of. Instead, this is an example of a lack of responsive leadership. USAA should be ashamed of its poor performance!

This to me is a total scam and I will report this to BBB as well as ATG office and certainly inform all my Vet associations of such. Watched your Ad on TV.... and after spending almost 2 hours of my time giving out not only personal information but my existing price quotes on my 2 homes as well as auto.. Funny I then received e mails from other insurance Companies for such??? What a SCAM!!!!

Same here. Home insurance was supposed to be ~1200a year.

~1400 a year with a deductible 5x what I had! Auto was supposed to be ~500 a year. 786 a year with deductible 2x what I had.

Cancelling a lodging a complaint! Going back to Nationwide!

A client from USAA rear ended me between 55 -60 Miles a hour, I was standing to turn he did not try to stop and admitted that he was not watching the road ,so off to the hospital With the ambulance my car got damaged I got hurt (I am still hurting) Trying to get a rental vehicle or my jeep fixed got contacted by a representative from USAA he was rude raised his voice and tried to make me feel like I was nobody and have no rights when I got off the phone I was shaking and crying, My husband is a military member for almost 30 years but we never had USAA and (right now I am very happy we didnt) its going on almost a month since the accident and I got nothing no rental car my jeep wont get fixed (I do not want no aftermarket parts) The jeep newest around $50,000 I am an innocent person

User's recommendation: Be careful and stay on top and if you want anything resolved you need to get a lawyer if not they don’t even contact you and if they do it’s rude and unprofessional.

Refusing to Pay Damage

Refusing to properly pay our valid claim after their client severely damaged the driver's side door of our new vehicle in a parking lot. Was standing outside next to our parked vehicle with the driver's side door open when their client decides to take off driving forward through the parking space right next to ours and about rips the door off the vehicle when the rear wheel well of her vehicle grabs the lower corner of our open door. Their client gets out, admits guilt, provides her USAA insurance information, and then USAA denies our damage claim stating it had become our fault? Their client was illegally driving forward through their parking space and the parking space immediately in front of that when this occurred.

Have always loved USAA and their banking/insurance products. Their mortgage product is crap for lack of a better word. Can never get in touch with loan officer, they wait until last minute to process things and will not return phone calls or emails. Go with anyone besides USAA for your mortgage. I hate to say it because I'm not a Wells Fargo fan, but their mortgage process is much better. Will never use USAA for housing/mortgage again.

I have nothing but trouble signing into my account, when you think you and I have worked it out right back to the same situation each and every time I sign in. Your system leaves a serious bad image on my mind. As stated to your so called customer service personnel..if this continues I would just leave it with snail mail..at least there I know were the trail will lead.and a payment will get there. when your commercials come on I switch the channel or just laugh knowing its all fine and dandy, but a joke in commercialism. for your product......I just don't know how others have no issues, but I know Iam not the only one...but it continues with me my account and you... saying I am not smart enough to understand the problem when its so simple to just follow instructions.....which I have ...and still come up with the same results...Iam venting, but Iam NOT happy.......one last thing, your not open when ever I call..because like banks...its 9 to 5, and close on the dot

Signed up with USAA in 2012, auto and home. My wife and I are very senior citizens. Neither of us has had an "at fault" accident nor received a ticket in 45 plus years. We haven't contributed to one nickle of expense to USAA. We have the same two vehicles we started with and own the same residence. Moreover, our mileage driven has dropped off to where the total for both vehicles is now less than 7500 a year. Regardless, our auto premium has increased progressively to where it is now more than 30 percent higher than when we started, and, apparently, the contributing driving offense is our aging. Neither my wife nor I has a "restricted" license, but neither this nor our driving record seems to matter to USAA. When I call to inquire, their representatives are very polite, thank me for my service, and inform me that our increase is due to some nebulous change in a policy provision or a statewide underwriter stipulated increase, neither of which is easily determined. I think it's simply USAA's version of "age discrimination".

It took a lot of effort, but USAA finally realized that they made a mistake. They unlocked my accounts and I moved the money to another bank.

I will not do business with them, and suggest others also refrain from doing so. It took a lot of effort to get them to pay attention and correct their mistake.

For days they just told me that they couldn't describe the fraud, couldn't tell me when or even if the money would be returned, and that there was no one I could talk to and nothing that I could do about it. This was a NIGHTMARE!

I recently enrolled into USAA. I opened a savings account and moved several thousand into that account. I talked to a financial adviser and created an IRA into which to rollover my 401k. I then initiated the rollover, which hasn't yet occurred. This morning I attempted to login and found that I was locked out. I contacted support and after MANY handoffs I learned that USAA has decided that I was doing something fraudulent. They will do no business with me, and they won't explain the decision. And there is no way to have them reconsider that decision. So now I have 10,000 in a savings account that I can't reach and I have several hundred thousand being rolled over into an IRA which is an account that has been canceled. I am attempting to cancel the rollover but am unsure if I can do so. When they decided to cancel my account they made no effort to reach out to me. What a mess! They told me on the phone that it was not possible to tell me why they think I am doing something fraudulent. Also, their web software is extremely buggy. I attempted three separate operations online on three separate days. All three operations failed due to buggy software. I kept encountering pages in which the "Next" button would not work. All three operations had to be done via phone. Was on the phone many times and spent most of that time listening to their USAA jingle. I strongly suggest that you avoid USAA. How I wish I could rate them less than 1 star! This was my biggest mistake in many years.

Get an account at a local bank

So on 2/16/20 I get a text msg from USAA telling me the account is locked. Called at 1330 and got it unlocked.

They claimed the reason was because I used a different phone to call in my complaint about the deposit on 2/14. Later in the day at 2130 I go to sign in, and again same thing, locked out. Called back. This time the excuse was they don't know, somebody in Fraud locked it.

I explained I already called and dealt with that earlier. Nothing the Supervisor could do except send off a complaint to someone, somewhere. Too late to deal with Fraud they are gone home, how convenient.

So now no access to account, no deposit, a paycheck I cannot do anything with. Thankfully I had cash enough to deal with bills and such.

Mobile deposit has become hit or miss. Sometimes it goes right through other times it is a 7 day hold. And on occasion they send it back and say the Money order or Check was no good. Oddly a real brick and mortar bank had no issue with either. Good luck getting a reason. If they send you something pay close attention. They sent me a reason that stated I put the wrong amount, yet they matched, even had screen shot and print out. Still nobody cared. Call to cancel my insurance, they didn't care about why just gave me information about cancelling. 15 Years ago a very different experience. Last 3 months a disaster.
