Victory Capital

USAA has moved their mutual funds to Victory Capital. I recently attempted to get an answer regarding the value of one of the funds. It took over eleven minutes to navigate the phone system and get the answer which was "I don't know". Shortly after assuming control of the funds Victory made the decision to rebalance the holdings resulting in large tax liabilities for the holders and failed to provide any advice or warning. Those capital gains have all subsequently disappeared.

Obnoxius, inefficient--- dare I say STUPID

my mother had a charge card with USAA. 18 days after she died, a slew of charges, totaling over $4,000 appeared on her charge card. I settled her charge card bill but USAA refused to recognize the fraudulent charges, even though I continually gave them the amounts and the vendors. Their charge card rates and offers aren't even competitive - you can do much better with a local credit union.

have the fraud department write me a letter, recognizing the fraudulent nature of these charges. And refund me the attorney fees and court costs I had to pay for this to get resolved through her probate estate.

IRA funds

USAA seems to think that it is THEIR money when you place an IRA with them. Their customer "service" people are officious, ignorant...Even before CO-VID, their hold times were ridiculous. . They are now selling their business to Charles Schwab. Go figure.

User's recommendation: find a local institution. USAA is too big for their britches. Their rates are no better than anyone elses - actually, their insurance rates are higher!

Pare down your group so you can actually serve your "members". my parents were with USAA for decades, I was with USAA for 40 years. I can't wait to get my IRA issue resolved so I can pull all my funds out of their clutches!

Increased bill during corona virus pandemic

Made a double payment two months ago, you reduced my bill to $20 AND said we were to receive 20% off of bill due to corona virus. This month my bill was $21.00 higher than my normal bill, called the rep who spoke to billing who said it is because my policy renewed 5 days before billing and will have to pay over 4 months rather than 5 months. It appears that perhaps your company "tweaked" billing just enough to gather in the extra money needed to cover that 20% decrease. Your company is crooked. So *** you. There, I feel better now. Going to find another company to insure my vehicles and home and get loans through which we have utilized your company for. Bye bye!!

I can promise that they did not "tweak" your bill. That would be a big job in the computer and you are talking a very few dollars. Good riddance to you.

I used USAA for many years but have found them to have terrible customer service for the past couple of years. We went elsewhere and actually saved money doing so. Check out other insurance companies.

First off, may I suggest TO USAA, ( like they really care) that they immediately hire a team of miracle workers, to take on the massive accumulation of negative comments being left on their own comment pages, and start to find some real resolve to our complaints. Any company that does not try to at least respond to these massive complains, tells me all I need to know about this company. So IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO INVOLVE I SAW IN ANY BANKING OR SERVICE NEEDS, JUST TAKE HEADE, OF USAA'S PRIOR Consumers like myself, and find a NICE CREDIT UNION THAT VALUES YOUR BUSINESS, BECAUSE USAA, HAS LOST ITS WAY. What once was a quality BANK, no longer care about pleasing their consumers, and that makes me sad, because God knows the folks that keep.our country great , just have one more disappointment they have to contend with. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR IT. My issue is small compared to others here, but what I known is this: USAA. insured my two vechiles, and charged me for a vehicle in storage, and after they did their 'once a year credit check' ( No traffic tickets ) my insurance jumped from $70.00 a month to $250.00 a month, With changing my coverage to the minimum coverage. They did this ** all in one month. ** I moved to Nevada and they continued to charge me a California policy along with a Nevada policy. When my automatic bill pay for $255, didn't go through my bank account, they cancelled my insurance, all in the same month. They notified the DMV in Nevada ( mandatory state ) informing them I wasn't covered. I wasn't even aware of what they did, until.it was all too late. When I went to pay for my cars renewal registration, I was fined $700, for no insurance . When I went to get other insurance, it showed I had a gap.I'm my insurance. Causing real costs to go.up. This cost me about $2500 all together. They could care less. Back in 2018, I thought I had worked this out with them, (although I didn't carry their insurance any longer.) They claimed to not charge me for the outstanding $300 they claimed I still owed them on a second policy. > at The end of 2019, I disputed a charge in my checking.they have me a credit but then reversed my credit two.months later. Again not informing me right away. They returned all my checks written for my mother's funeral, and charged me hundreds in bound check charges. Before the same month was up, ( No statement yet) they closed my account ! I continued to have my pension payments deposited for three months, making their negative balance in my account paid for. They took the last payment and had , leaving a balance of $300 ! When inquiring enough the overpayment, not listed on my documents in the records, just that my account was closed on Janurary 2020, the February deposit and the March deposit didn't show.up.anywhere. Only that I owe them $934. and my account was closed jan. 24. No accounting for the $635. THEY RECEIVED FOR THE LAST TWO.MONTHS. IT TOOK ME DAYS TO GET THEM TO ADMIT THEY STILL WERE RECEIVING MY DIRECT DEPOSIT FOR TWO MONTHS SO THEY had I called Feb. Of 2020 and asked why my deposits are not showing up on my account. They claimed that they didn't get them. Contact my pension company. I did. They said, they were sent to usaa. I secured proof. had to send it to usaa. Only days later, they said they would send out a check. First call: THEY SAID "THEY WILL SEND IT IN 8 BUSINESS DAYS. (EXPECT IT ON 3/7/20 ON MARCH 9TH I HAD TO CONTACT THEM AGAIN "WHERE'S MY MONEY I ASK THEM? THEY TELL ME, "YOUR ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED ON MARCH 7TH AND YOUR CHECK WILL BE SENT OUT TOMORROW. 3/8/2020. EXPECT IT ON 3/15/20.

Bad claim service. Just another Military rip off

Claim service very slow. Their job is not to pay any claim if possible and they do their job very well. quite a bit of my roof blew away in a bad rain and wind storm. Water was pouring out of my ceiling light fixture and all over our floor.Roof and ceiling was damaged. I made a claim and it took them a month to finally send an adjuster out. All they wanted to do was replace all of the missing shingles with shingles that would not match. Since the shingles and the painting of the ceiling was less that my deductible they wouldn't pay a thing to make things right again. I did not want a miss matched patch job on my roof and they just didn't care. After my experience with USAA i found out all i had was a premium to pay and did not have insurance at all. I replaced the roof at my own expense.I started looking for another insurance company. i had several agents come out and all of them couldn't believe what USAA did to me. i am now with a local company. After 22 years in the service i have come across many military rip off places and USAA is among one of them. Do not believe any of their tv ads. They do not care for the military at all. We are just easy targets for them.I am not the only one they have dont things like this to. I have talked to other veterans that have had similar problems with USAA also. Don't walk away but run away from this insurance company.

Not impressed

I tried to log on to my account tonight and its been locked for some reason, as I sit here worrying about what is going on I can't reach anyone at USAA, recording stated can not confirm your social, our offices are closed now call back tomorrow. So I have to sit and stew wondering what's going on with my account. There is no 24/7 assistance??? really??? Long time member and disappointed at the service Thank you, Peter Dimarzio

Need a replacement debit card. Need a correct tracking# USAA blocked my other card 2 two weeks before expiration date, 31 march 2020. Now I'm stranded in Latin america without funds and transportation out of here! U self made sobs!

If your thinking about switching to USAA you might want to think about it because their happy to take your money, but the second you file a claim, expect nothing, no customer service, *** poor communication. Been driving 40 years , never had a claim, my first one, now I understand why you never want to have one. Simply horrible customer service. Good luck.

Refused to pay for a windshield replacement after using USAA for 19 years. Dropped all of my auto insurance, home, and banking. All over $400, was moving between states and the previous state covered this, following the move I filed and they refused to pay.... I moved all my insurance and banking, making 6% interest on banking and saving $80 per month in all insurances.
