Denied claim to repair interior damage from roof leak

Had bad storm and discovered water running down interior wall. Submitted to USAA and they repaired roof but said interior was pre-existing damage. I went into a wheelchair 5 years ago and my front two rooms are not wheelchair accessible. I am single with no children and the rooms were full of boxes.

User's recommendation: Do Not have USAA as homeowners insurance.

Dreadful customer service

I called credit card division to dispute a charge for an item that was never delivered. Agent was inept. When I asked for a manager, she hung up on me. Second agent was downright surly. Utter combination of disrespect and incompetence.

No longer the company it used to be

I have phoned USAA about the same problem over ten times and get transferred from one representative to a different representative having to repeat the problem over and over. Each call requires giving all my ID requirements waiting for next available representative and then being disconnected. So I have sent email explaining my problem-received an email to call Rudoulfo Gonzales= I have called him 3 times and left messages but no one calls back. I have been a member for over 40 years

Unfair dealings

USAA uses a company to tell you what your vehicle is worth whan it is totaled and it is NOT NADA or KELLY Blue book. The company USAA uses goes on the internet looking for vehicles that are cheap log what they find then tell you yours is not worth what you say. I called the comparison vehicles they used ask them if USAA or the company they use EVER came an inspected the vehicles. THE answer was ALWAYS NO!! Also these vehicles were sold so I couldn't inspect them. I sent USAA comparison vehicles but the REFUSED TO USE THEM!! They will also keep charging you for your totaled vehicle, you better watch your account drafts... USAA uses the flag to make money... DO NOT BE FOOLED....

Has not and will not until they rent us a trailer park it behind my house until its demolition is completed and floors and walls and wood floors are replaced. It's tiles and 20 yr tile

Check with your local insurance administration and look up the laws in your state. I am so sorry to hear you are going through all of this.

Document everything and get everything in writing they say. Usaa can change allcat paperwork as they are a third party affiliate. You can look up usaa third party affiliate manual and see for yourself. Also there was a whistleblower that just came out about allcat and Usaa.

We have been fighting for 3 years come March 2021. Usaa needs to train their adjusters on how to properly take claims instead of spending so much on dishonest commercials. Also request a certified copy of your policy, claims log, xactanalysis notes, payment log, all generated reports, and all adjuster notes and estimates. When we got ours we found where the payments didn’t even add up and companies that never had anything to do with our claim had been paid.

The truth always comes out hang in there. Many prayers for you and your family no family should ever have to go through this when they have a legitimate claim.

USAA Call Taker Hung Up on me

My elderly mother, a USAA member, was involved in a traffic collision. As an elderly person she doesn't have access to the internet or a smart phone. I called USAA to assist her in reporting the collision. USAA encouraged on-line reporting; however, we opted to report over the phone to a USAA call taker for the above reasons. Once the call taker got on the phone she tried encouraging an on-line report and began stating a host of reasons why the report I was about to make was going to be time consuming. I told the call taker I was assisting my elderly mother and she needs USAA's help with the claim. The call taker asked the same questions repeatedly and questions we would have no possibility of knowing about the other, at fault driver, after 15 minutes I began to get frustrated and expressed I have answered the same question in a series of other questions and that felt this was ridiculous. The call taker began telling me I'm on a recorded line and that I was being rude. I objected, frustrated yes, She insisted I was rude and began ranting and lecturing. I told her lets just move on. She continued, and I told her she doesn't have to get the last word in, lets just move on. She told me she was going to have to hang up and that I was on a recoded line, I really hope I was, and even more so, I hope someone listens to it because this woman was way out of line. When I asked for her name she hung up. Typical big insurance company. They want your money, but want you to do all of their work for them on-line, then complain about providing service. I'm a military veteran, as was my father. When this woman unnecessarily hung up on me she hung up on my elderly mother, the widow of a military veteran. I admit I was frustrated, but nowhere near rude.

User's recommendation: Go with a small local insurance company. No customer service. The call taker's actions are obviously endorsed by the company since she felt so comfortable doing it.

Cancelled auto insurance

I left the country for 30 days. This should be normal considering they deal with military. While away my bank account was compromised. My bank took all appropriate action to mitigate damages. On August 14th USAA tried to get an automatic payment (like they had successfully done for 20 years) My bank came back and said account was closed. By September 11th USAA had cancelled my insurance. Now I have a gap and have to pay higher premiums. Unacceptable.

User's recommendation: Find a company that cares about its customers. You may pay a bit more but I guarentee you won’t be paying as much as I am right now because of USAA.

Why the USAA is advertising with the NFL

The disrespect shown by the NFL towards our military and country clearly is not the values shown by me a 50 plus year member ...WHY are the marketing folks in USAA turning a blind eye to this.....in addition I have tried to voice my concern to no avail ...
