USAA cancelled my policy. They have the worst customer service in the world.

I have a letter from them in which I have saved for everyone to look at and for proof. They claim since I don't trust their so called customer service since they screwed up my account seeral times that there has to be mutual trust with both the customer and the company and they cancelled my account. USAA thinks their *** dosn't stink. If you try to get in contact with their so called executive office there is no office.

USAA needs to go OUT OF BUSINESS. They are as bad as any major company out here today. Look what is running this counrty.

USAA messed up on my auto policy and they said sorry for any inconvience. NO USAA scred off!!

Monetary Loss: $100.

Location: Aurora, Indiana

Google USAA sucks, you'll be surprised.

I just needed a simple auto quote. I got locked into USAA's forced membership creation.

There was no way to delete the membership after I got the quote. I had to call USAA.

Of course I get through the computer auto answering service.

The loser working for USAA didn't know how to do her job and had to ask one of the other losers for advice. Then after being on hold for 5 minutes she jumped on her high horse to lecture me about my USAA username whick was F***UUSAA.

If you children would just remember key things like your pin number, ssn, bday...you know things that nobody but you should know, then you would have no problem accessing your account IT'S CALLED SECURITY for YOUR, I say again, YOUR MONEY! All this blab about bad customer service, I've gotten nothing but great service EVERY time.

Don't like the automated message or you don't fall into categories on 1-5? PUSH 0 RIGHT AWAY to talk to a person. I've been with many different insurance companies but Geico was the cheapest for me, even USAA was more expensive when I joined. Then 3 years later I decided to recheck their rates and it went down considerably.

Save 15% with Geico? How about save 40% over Geico with USAA. I'm a retired Vet now, war injury but they give me GREAT customer service.

I don't think I've ever dreaded calling them, never a wait time, never an angry employee who's sick of their job and taking it out on you. USAA is a great bank, if you had a bad time interacting with them then you're probably leaving details out of your story like how rude were you to them?

Are you kidding me? I visit this site by accident but it is universally known that USAA does not pay.

Most military personnel won't go near them as a bank or insurance. They are a joke. They once held my military pay for a month and wouldn't tell me why?

Seems this a common practice ... Search USAA held my funds and you'll see.

USAA hired the castoffs from BOA after 2008 they head the Executive response team.employees are bailing and so are the customers,it's all about the profits screw the members 27 years as a member and some snot nose kid laughs and tells me to twist in the wind.At one time this was a great company....Not anymore. If your with USAA check around there rates are higher than a lot of other established company's. USAA went out of there way to screw a 27 year member what do you think there going to do to you!

Communications is supposed to be keys to success, but USAA does every possible thing to block communications with them. Whether it is trying to get emergency road service or trying to talk with someone. One had to have handy their account number, ID nickname, pin number, password whether on the phone or online. When you are on the phone they won't give you an extension number and the only options 1-5 may not be what you need, and five takes you back to the beginning.

After emailing them, they just can answer your email, they set it up in a secure box, that you have to go look for after they tell you they've replied to you...They didn't reply, they just wanted you to get on their system so they could sell you something else and avoid communications and problems.

After my accident in May of 2012, it was nearly impossible to connect with the adjuster, and after months without hearing anything from USAA as to the status of the claim, I finally went through their labyrinth and found out that it was all taken care of; but no report was ever offered as confirmation.

They are by far one of the worst companies to try and do business with which I have EVER encountered. :(

I had no problem with usaa until I fell behind on a payment. They harrassed my phone multiple times a day. Shut off my online account. As soon as I received my next paycheck that I had planned to pay the missed payment, they did a "right to off set". I have since paid that account off as still they wont let me have online account access.

I missed a payment on my vehicle insurance and they cancelled it within 30 days. The very next month I called to make a double payment and they told me I would have to start a new policy that would be increased rates and I would have to call in my payment monthy rather than set up automatic payments. I went with another insurance agency that was cheaper and set me up with automatic payments so I would never be late again.

I also tried to set up an allotment from my paycheck to usaa to pay my auto loan directly every month so I wouldn't have to worry about it. It was rejected my usaa. Military fincance office told me that I would have to call usaa to find out why they were rejecting the payment. When I called they must have an approved script that they must follow because the lady kept telling me that "we do not set up allotments", "we do not set up allotments". I only asked her why usaa rejected the allotment that was sent from my pay check to the account. When I asked to speak to another representative they repeated the same quote.

After all the run arounds I had with this bank I stopped my direct deposit and went back to a brick and mortor institution where I can walkin and talk to a real person who driectly handles all aspects of my accounts.

I have to agree; our experience with USAA has been terrible. My family member, a combat veteran, was injured in an automobile accident in 2009.

The other driver had minimal insurance, so we filed a underinsured motorist claim with USAA.

For more than three years, we have gotten nothing but excuses. What a shameful way to treat troops and veterans.

I joined up with USAA 2 years ago. I was quite happy to have been eligible to join via my veteranship.

I later find out that they have me under the General Idemnity Company. What does this mean? I am a standard risk driver, meaning, I am at the lowest tier and probably pay the highest rates based on my tier.

I was told that they put people on those tiers from ranks of E-1 through E-6.

I am 50 years old, been out of the military over 25 years ago, make more money than a Colonel, and have a safe driving record but they put me in the high risk group of enlistees from E-1 to E-6.

That kinda sux! Anyone do Geico via Navy Federal Credit Union membership? Thinking about checking out those rates.

USAA is mostly run by former senior military officers who only cared about themselves while on active duty...so why do people think this company would behave any differently? Its all about them and screw the "lesser" people.

Large EGOS, CEO pretendaholics and narcissists are just extensions of who they were in the military. Leadership by example is the exception. Do as I say not as I do is the norm. Did you know that general officers get 100% of their active duty salary as retirement pay?

Not so for the rest. Why do they need to run bad companies like USAA? To satisfy their egos. They dont give a *** about the average customer.

And from what Ive read above they dont care about their employees either.

At least in the military there are some small avenues to defend yourself. Good luck to those slaves working at USAA.

USAA insurance screwed me out of $2500 for a worn steering wheel on my car. They suck.

worn steering wheel?

@Tom

Actually yes that is their goal. They brought in a big shot exec from BOA who is bringing in all his friends. I'm convinced they are doing all this advertising so the executives can get their trips paid for and get good tickets to all these events.

Since the company isnt public there is very little transparency so who knows how much the executives are really taking out of that place.

I wasted 2 hrs on the phone w them tryin to get a home mortgage that I more than qualify for. Mostly being put on hold and 6 representatives later I still get no concise answer.

No one knows what's going on and they lied to my face too. Worse customer service and poor mortgage business.

The worst ever. :(

Guest

Been with them for 20 plus yrs. on my new home their home ins quote was 3x higher than their competitors.

My mortgage originator told me that usaa would be much higher than anyone else and i didnt believe her. Premium was the same as a 3200 sq ft home I owned in mid 2000s (new place is a townhome). They spend untold money on advertising - why?? To inflate their egos?

To try and be like the bank-ster elites?? I now have to shop their auto rates too. When I was in ROTC in the 80s I was proud to be a member.

Now not so much. Credit card is still a good deal.

I get a nice note from USAA constantly thanking me for 30 years of membership. If I could get a few hours off work to get to the credit union and transfer accounts I would dump these basta.ds fast.

It is a culture which embraces lies and liars. They refuse to correct mistakes and always pass blame.

They "know what it means to serve" is just exploiting service members. This company is wretchedly evil.

John N Mzy

Agreed. I was with them for almost two decades both in and out of the service.

Their lousy, inept customer service finally got to me one day when I tried to get an answer to a simple question about my account.

Go somewhere else. I find AAA rather good, thank you very much.
